Guns Qualification
Good morning Kadet,
This is a basic mission to test your skill at gunnery and ground strafing. You will spawn in an IL2 Type 3, 1943, and you will be armed with only MGs and cannon. The situation is that a fuel convoy is headed with some other supply trucks from Sadovoye (AP-11) to a hastily set up supply depot across the river in Prudy to the south east. Recent intelligence tells us that the germans are planning to fly in fuel supplies from this depot to the front line units at Kerch. These supplies must not reach the front!!
Your task is to intercept the fuel convoy, destroy it, and if possible, destroy the supply depot at Prudy. This mission is scored in terms of Primary and Secondary targets. There is one Primary target, and 3 Secondary targets.
- To pass this mission with a 3rd Class Grade you must destroy the fuel convoy (Primary target).
- To pass with a 2nd Class Grade you must destroy the fuel convoy (Primary target) and achieve 1 Secondary target (another convoy, or the supply depot).
- To pass this mission with a 1st Class Grade you must achieve the Primary target and 2 Secondary targets (one more convoy and the supply depot, or all three convoys).
If you are able to achieve the Primary target and all 3 Secondary targets, you will be awarded a 1st Class Grade with Merit, which comes with an all expenses paid weekend trip to the sunny Black Sea resort of Odessa for you and one guest, where you will join your comrades in battling against the fascist hordes. Rifle and helmet will be supplied once you arrive, although we cannot guarantee any ammunition.
