KOMOK's Story:

Comrade KOMOK was born on the 17th of August, 1916 in the eastern city of Petropavlovsk. His parents could not put their fing er on it, but they always had an idea he would choose a life of military servic e to the Motherland.

komok the kid

At a young age, he was accepted to the military academy for boys in Moscow where he excelled in team and individual sports, shooting, and science and history.

komok the young soldier

He did not care much for mathematics or academics in general, but he did manage to begin his first year of university while still studying his final year of preparatory school. Immediately upon graduation, he entered service in the glorious Army of the Soviet Union and was accepted into the flying corps.

komoks military honors

After completion of officer training, he received his first training assignment learning to fly in top of the line Soviet training aircraft, much better than that used by our capitalist allies.

komoks first sortie

When the Fascists invaded, KOMOK quickly volunteered for a front line combat assignment and was posted to the 69.GIAP as a ShAP pilot.
